The Orange and Yellow Woods (A Collection of Individual Student Work)
Some of the paintings in this collection are pure abstract. The use of bright colors without restraint, scrape lines (where the student uses the back of the brush to scrape in patterns), and heavy textures create a common feel among these particular pieces. Other paintings in this collection are more representational—depicting scenes from nature—including Laura Hoeh’s , “Reflection Off the Snow” and Debbie Bald’s, “The Happy River.”
